Local moves are subject to a minimum of 2 hours of labour charge plus 1hr minimum charge as travel time to the pick up location. The customer will be billed at the agreed hourly labour charge once the minimum is reached except on cases where a flat rate has been agreed.
CAN MOVERS TAKE BREAKS DURING MOVING?
Like any other workers, movers are allowed to take 15 minutes breaks every 2 hours. The time spent on these breaks is counted towards the total time of the move and charged to the customer at their hourly rate. If the move exceeds 4 hours, the movers are allowed to take one 30 minute lunch break which will not be billed to the customer.
CAN I BUY PACKING MATERIALS FROM YOU?
We have everything you need for self packing. We also offer full packing services. From boxes to bubble wrap, the materials you need are available at competitive prices.
DO YOU OWN YOUR TRUCKS?
All our trucks belong to Marsh Movers. We reserve the right to send a leased/rented truck.
WHAT DO I DO IF I WANT TO RESCHEDULE MY MOVING?
Contact Marsh Movers to arrange for a new pickup/delivery/trip date. A cancellation fee of $50 will be charged to you if the cancellation request is received in less than 3 days prior to the scheduled move day.
HOW SOON CAN I SCHEDULE MY MOVE DATES?
We prefer you to contact us at least 15 days prior to you moving date and make the necessary booking arrangements. We shall work with you on booking a last minute move based on our availability for the date and time of your interest.
WHAT TIME DOES THE MOVING USUALLY START?
Marsh Movers crews usually start pickups between 8:00 A.M. and 9:00 A.M. A confirmation call is usually made to you the day before your scheduled move to confirm the time of arrival. There could be delays due to circumstances beyond our control like traffic etc and as a result of this customers should expect delays of up to 1 hour delays in the morning and 1-3 hour delays in the afternoon. You will be kept notified.
DO I GET CHARGED FOR EXTRAS LIKE STAIRS AND HEAVY ITEMS?
Extra charges for stairs and heavy items depend on the layout of the pickup/delivery location. The total amount and weight of the move inventory will vary. DO I NEED TO BE AVAILABLE DURING THE PICKUP?
We strongly suggest that you are present to identify which goods are staying and which are going, items requiring special handling, and to answer any questions. We will require you to sign the Moving Contract. If you absolutely cannot be present, we recommend that someone who is familiar with your household goods be available to represent you.
